Bongo Hospitality and Bongo Foods are excited to launch our new custom branded soup pouches for our signature African Peanut Soup. These pouches are freezable, resealable, and fully recyclable, making them convenient and eco-friendly. You can also see the vibrant orange colour and creamy texture of the soup through a clear window on the pouch. The pouches have a matte finish that feels soft and provides a good grip (especially with wet hands). We have also updated the nutritional information on the pouches to reflect the latest standards.

To celebrate this milestone, we have prepared a special production and delivery schedule for Q4, as well as some exciting events for our loyal customers and supporters. Here is what we have planned for the next few weeks:

  • October 23 (Monday):

    • Chef Bongo heads to Penticton to set up for his pre-order delivery and tasting. He will be on the road, creating stories and providing fun social-media updates along the way. Follow him on Instagram to accompany him and provide cheeky comments.

  • October 24 (Tuesday):

    • Chef Bongo and team will make the soup at a licensed commissary in Penticton.

  • October 25 (Wednesday):

  • October 26 (Thursday):

    • Then 1 pm to 4 pm, Chef and team will be handing out all pre-orders to those that come to pick up their orders.

    • In the evening from 5pm-7pm, Chef Bongo share his soup at a private wine tasting event. It will be taking place at the BC Wine Information Centre (553 Vees Dr. Unit 101, Penticton). Tickets are sold out.

    • All pre-orders that cannot pickup while Chef is around can still obtain their pre-orders from Upper Bench Winery, 7 days/wk, just by showing up and giving their name.

  • October 28 (Saturday):

    • Chef and team will drive back to Vancouver and Chef will head straight to the airport (YVR), to fly to Malaysia for the World Gourmet Chef Competition. This is an amazing opportunity for him to showcase his culinary talents on the international stage and earn a medal for both Canada, and The Congo (DPRC). You can learn more about this prestigious competition here

Meanwhile, in Vancouver, Bongo Hospitality’s operations manager will deliver the soup pouches to all Vancouver, GVRD and lower-mainland residents starting from October 29th (Sunday) until Nov 3rd (Friday).

This will conclude delivery of the first artisanal commercial batch of Chef Bongo’s African Peanut Soup. Bongo Foods and Bongo Hospitality will schedule a second batch for end of November production, and December delivery.

Again, we are thrilled to share our new soup pouches with you and hope you enjoy them, and the delicious, artisinal soup contained inside. Thank you for your continued support and stay tuned for more updates from Bongo Hospitality.
